Integrate Gmail with DevRev#

    Integrate your organization’s support email with the DevRev app to bring all your emails and PLuG conversations together. Manage all customer communication from a single inbox. Create tickets and communicate with your development team never having to leave this space.

    Let’s set up the Gmail integration for you#

    Follow these 2 steps to get your own unified space for managing all end-user communication.

    Make a new connection#

    Open the settings on your DevRev app and go to Integrations > Connections.

    This page shows all your existing integrations. On the top right corner, select + Connection.

    1. Select Google and enter a name for your connection. Enable Make connection available to your DevOrg.

    2. Click Continue with Google and add your organization’s Gmail account.

    3. Give DevRev the additional access to your Google Account. Don’t worry you can trust us. If you have further questions, you can refer to our privacy policy

    Flow with us#

    1. Go to Settings > Flows. Here you see all the existing flows pertaining to different connections. On the top-right corner, click Explore Marketplace.

    2. Scroll down the page to find the Email snap-in and click Install.

    3. In support_email enter your organization's email address. In case the domain name is not registered in the app, you can add that name in the allow_list to create the conversation in a new state. Otherwise, it’s created in a suspended state. Then click Next.

    4. In plug-email-token select the connection that you created. You could create a connection here as well. Follow the steps mentioned above to do the same.

    5. In plug-email-event-source select plug-email-event-source and click Next.

    6. A forwarding email address is displayed. In your support Gmail account, add this as your forwarding address.

    7. Select Proceed when you are redirected to a new webpage. You are asked for a confirmation code sent to this forwarding address.

    8. We're almost there. On your DevRev app go to Support > Inbox. This is the unified space we promised you about. Find and open your verification message here.

    9. Open the given link to confirm the request. Click Confirm.

      You can also copy and paste the given confirmation code into Verify in your Gmail account.

    10. We are done. You get this confirmation message.

    11. In your Gmail forwarding settings select Forward a copy of incoming mail to get this confirmation message on the top. You can change the other forwarding Gmail settings according to your convenience.

    Your inbox after setting up Gmail integration#

    Any email sent to your organization’s support email address shows up in Support > Inbox.


    Reply to the email never having to leave this conversation. Meanwhile, the DevRev AI bot sends an automated reply borrowing some time for response and asking any additional information that may help in the customer’s inquiry.
