Software Developer: Integration Engineer

You would join our Applied AI Engineering team! 

The Applied AI Engineering team ensures our customers get the optimal experience from DevRev. As customers go through their DevRev journey, they may identify need(s) for integration with existing enterprise systems/services, workflow/process automation or customization/enhancement of the DevRev platform capabilities to achieve their business objectives. Our team works with customers to understand requirements and design, develop, and implement solutions to meet customer goals.

Your mission is to systematically help customers find value with DevRev by developing a thorough understanding of their needs, owning the coordination between internal and external stakeholders, and engineering the solution to get the job done. You are a product expert and will use your application development, and AI/ML skills to ensure our customers get the most out of the DevRev platform.  

Job Description

As an Applied AI engineer at DevRev, you will work closely with our pre- and post-sales Customer Experience team by developing solutions over the core platform via applications written in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc. One of the key functions of this role is, building the Knowledge Graph that includes integration of DevRev with other SaaS and non-SaaS systems through webhooks and APIs and/ or real-time communication architectures. You will be expected to employ your creativity and expertise to ideate and shape how AI, analytics and workflows are used in customers' processes. 

Objectives of this role will include:

• Design, develop, implement and maintain integrations, automations and customizations to integrate DevRev with customers’ tech stack and workflows, and ensure successful customer engagements.
• Integrate DevRev with other SaaS and non-SaaS systems through APIs and Webhooks and/ or real-time communication technical architecture.
• Utilize AI in novel ways to solve customer problems, including Generative AI techniques like prompt engineering for foundation large language models (LLMs) to enable great AI agent experience.
• Conduct data analysis, writing SQL queries, and building dashboards to share insights and drive decision-making.
• Be proactive in communicating and keeping constant feedback loops to all key stakeholders including Customers, Engineering, Product, Customer Success & Support, Revenue, Marketing etc.
• Learn new tools and guide customers through critical workflows, e.g. integration with code repositories.

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in integration software development and usage; including Webhooks and APIs (to extract, transform & load) in customer facing solutions, with a strong background in designing and implementing complex, integrated and scalable solutions
• Writing tests prioritizing quality and efficiency
• Experience in writing concise, well-structured documentation to support long-term team understanding and onboarding.
• Prioritize maintainable design patterns and clean scalable and resilient solutions.
• Hands-on coding experience using TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, SQL.
• Expertise in large-scale data synchronization, including both one-way and two-way sync between systems.
• Proficient in working with OpenAPI specifications and integrating third-party SDKs such as Google and Azure, with the flexibility to adapt across platforms.
• Experience building resilient integrations that handle third-party constraints using rate limiting, retries, and exponential backoff strategies. 
• Solid understanding of secure API integration practices including OAuth, API key/token management, and secrets handling via cloud vaults (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, Google Secret Manager).
• Strong foundation in event-driven and pub/sub architectures to enable scalable, reactive integrations.
• Skilled in clear logging and actionable error surfacing to support observability and faster issue resolution.
• Adept in data mapping, transformation, and schema alignment across heterogeneous systems. Understanding of data modelling and working with graph data structures
• Experience with Model Context Programming (MCP) for building context-aware, adaptive integrations.
• Strong experience in triaging & unblocking technical and non-technical blockers
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in AI and relevant technologies or architecture frameworks is a plus.
• Hands-on experience deploying integrations on serverless and edge compute platforms like AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions is a plus!
